LISA MEZZACAPPA SEXTET: COSMICOMICS 2023
On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Italo Calvino, the Californian double bass player Lisa Mezzacappa presents the Cosmicomiche project together with Jordan Glenn on drums, Marta Raviglia on vocals, Piero Bittolo Bon on reeds, Giorgio Pacorig on fender rhodes and keyboards and Nazareno Caputo on vibraphone. The compositions are inspired by Calvino’s works, which humanize and personify extraordinary and wondrous phenomena that challenge human perception as only he can.
PIERO BITTOLO BON SOLO: SPELUNKER
A mesmerizing experience that has aroused the interest of the international community of saxophonists, in which Piero Bittolo Bon explores the sax by miking its internals, capturing hidden vibrations and resonances to transform them into hypnotic polyrhythms and engaging soundscapes. The sound is fed in real time to synthesizers and drum machines, adding further layers to a musical world from which ancestral and alien folkloristic suggestions emerge.
HEALING FORCE PROJECT
Healing Force Project is the sonic adventure of Antonio Marini who, through a career spanning over a decade, has become a cult in underground and experimental circles. Always at the forefront of electronic experimentation, his compositions find space for dub, techno and funk, mixed with a strong free jazz flavour. In his long career as a selector and DJ he has played at avant-garde electronic festivals such as Atonal and Terraforma.
